Dear faithful praying friends,
This Thursday when I took the bells for the people in the home for the abandoned and needy elderly, one of the ladies was lying on a couch on her back and loudly complaining that those in charge had her tied up.... Of course, they had NOT, but I read the words of the first song to all. It was Blessed Assurance and the words that I read were: 'Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight, Angels descending bring from above, Echoes of Mercy, whispers of love.' Then the chorus: 'This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long.' Then the people in the home played the tune on the bells. The next thing we knew this lady was sitting up and appearing very coherent and asking for a bell so she could play the next song.
This reminded me how I and all of us need to change our tune when we are full of complaints by praising our Savior all the day long. We need your prayers that this change would truly be noticeable in our lives, also.
Guillermo had another meeting with the board of directors of the seminary. Continued prayer for guidance is needed as they seek to know God's leading in how to make the curriculum best serve the needs of the pastors and students taking the classes. These classes are very accessible financially to those whose finances are small but their hearts to serve are large.
Guillermo is much better from his cold!
Thank you for your faithfulness!
Your obedient servant in Christ,
Jennie Salinas
